Magnet Systems: Magnets e.g. sintered neodymium, polymerbonded neodymium and ferrites have different magnetic properties. Magnets have in common a far-reaching magnetic field, see fig. 1, and thus the magnetic loss is relatively high. By utilising different systems of magnetic conducting terminal shoes it is possible to concentrate the magnetic field lines and as required redirect these. In this manner it is possible to increase the holding force by up to a factor 18, see fig. 2 to 6.
Magnet System Types: A holding magnet system consists of one or more permanent magnets connected by one or more terminal shoes. The counterpart, which the magnet is going to hold by the magnetic force, is closing the magnetic circuit.
