Sintex develops and manufactures customised components in so-called Soft Magnetic Materials. These components consist of completely pure iron powder with a surface coating, thus ensuring low eddy current loss. The powder is specially developed for applications in which there is a requirement concerning 3-dimensional flux density, e.g. in:

• Electrical appliances
• Transformers
• Sensors
• Ignition systems
• etc.

By using powder premix and lubricant optimum magnetic properties can be obtained:

• Magnetic flux density of 2.37 T at 340 kA/m
• Max. permeability, µmax of 500
• Low losses at medium to high frequencies

By using powder premix with both lubricant and binder, the mechanical strength of the components is increased, although the magnetic properties will be diminished. For further information, please refer to the datasheets for the various soft magnetic materials.
