KNOW-HOW - Sintex Wear Resistant Coatings
Sintex a/s is a specialist in wear resistant coatings with the thermal spraying process, HVOF (High Velocity Oxy Fuel).
The HVOF process is simple, in contrast to the flame spraying and plasma spraying process, with very few process steps. Heated metal powder is sprayed onto the surface at extremely high speed.
The unique flame speed of the HVOF process makes it possible to achieve a very dense coating with optimum adhesion compared with for example plasma spraying. The hardness and the corrosion resistance is also much higher than for flame spraying.
