The pump industry places high demands on corrosion resistance, robustness and geometric versatility.
At Sintex, we specifically focus on corrosion resistance with our stainless steel solutions and develop our own alloys and solutions, which are leading in terms of development and meeting the industry’s new requirements and processes.
An example is the stainless steel sintered alloy - STX 2000 - which is highly corrosion resistant, or our magnetic solutions such as the magnet rotor, which is hermetically encapsulated.
Our thermal sprayed coatings also serve as the coating of components, which have extra high demands on wear and corrosion resistance.
The pump industry's focus on geometric versatilities is matched by the innovative development of powder metallurgy - namely Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) - and our solutions within the magnetic field, including soft magnetic composites (SMC).
Sintex magnetic solutions are improved in relation to effectiveness, complexity and economy. The 3-dimensional magnetic properties of SMC offers unprecedented design possibilities compared with traditional laminated sheet metal.
MIM combines the unique geometric advantages that are well known from plastic injection moulding with the material properties of powder metallurgy and makes it possible to produce more complex components than with conventional powder metallurgy.
